Same-day delivery · Greater London

Ordered in London this morning, delivered this afternoon.

A lunch platter for an office in the City, a part a Park Royal workshop is waiting for, a restock for a shop in Soho: Shippr organises these deliveries on D0, collected and handed over within the day, across the 32 boroughs and the City.

What slows a London delivery

The charge, the stop and the speed: three rules to plan for when you order

A compliant vehicle, as standard

The ULEZ covers every borough, day and night, and an order placed at 10am cannot wait while someone checks a van’s Euro standard. We send a compliant vehicle from the outset: the £12.50 a day of a van that is not is never your concern.

The Congestion Charge, known when you book

In central London, every vehicle pays £18 a day from 7am to 6pm on weekdays and from noon to 6pm at weekends. Electric vans have no longer been exempt since 2 January 2026: they pay half, £9. A same-day delivery inside the zone usually falls within those hours: we tell you when you book, not on the invoice.

Stops where stopping is allowed

On a red route, stopping outside a loading bay and its hours costs £160. Our planning and routing algorithms put every stop where loading is allowed and time journeys at 20 mph in the centre: the arrival time you are given already allows for it.

Local rules checked in October 2026.

In practice

From your request to the handover, with no warehouse in between

In London, a same-day delivery is won or lost before it leaves: the choice of vehicle, the time it passes through the Congestion Charge zone, the place the driver will be able to stop. Your teams do not have to make those decisions, or follow each delivery on the phone afterwards. That follow-up, and the stress that comes with it, is the costliest part of logistics: we take it off your hands.

We reserve a vehicle for your job. It collects from you and delivers to your recipients in the order our algorithms have worked out, with no stop at a warehouse. One address is a direct run; several make a round. Meanwhile, your dashboard shows where the vehicle is, then the photos and proof-of-delivery signatures.

What our London customers hand us

Farmer J used its own shop staff to deliver its corporate orders, at the cost of longer queues in store. Its same-day deliveries now leave with Shippr couriers, and its customers follow them in real time. The staff stayed behind the counter.

The service

What our same-day (D0) delivery includes

These three commitments are the same everywhere we deliver; in London, they are organised around the ULEZ, the Congestion Charge and red routes.

Tailor-made

An organisation that fits your everyday

A collection at a supplier, a restocking round or orders to deliver to your customers: Shippr organises your transport the same day, from the first to the last mile.

Together we define the vehicles, the time slots and the instructions that suit your volumes, your packaging and the storage requirements of your goods. For a one-off job as much as for regular rounds, our operations team coordinates the partners, follows the deliveries and stays your point of contact when something unexpected comes up.

Operational efficiency

Less handling, a smoother flow

Your goods travel from the collection point to their destinations without passing through a sorting centre. Fewer intermediate handlings means less risk of breakage, and the chance to cut back on over-packaging and save on your packaging costs, while keeping the packaging your products need.

The Shippr team follows the progress of the deliveries, coordinates the exchanges with the partners and steps in when something unexpected happens. From your dashboard you find the statuses and the proof of receipt, to inform your customers and organise the rest of your activity.

Save time

Your deliveries move. So does your business.

Free your teams from organising transport day after day. Finding partners, passing on the instructions, coordinating and following the rounds: Shippr takes it over, so you can spend more time on your customers and your growth.

A driver who drops out, a blocked access or a peak in orders? Our operations team looks for solutions, coordinates the adjustments and keeps you informed. You keep sight of your deliveries, with one point of contact to help you through the decisions that need making.

Frequently asked questions

Same-day delivery in London: your questions

Can you deliver in the City before noon an order placed the same morning?

Yes, when the volume and the distance allow. Tell us your recipient’s deadline: we plan the collection to meet it, allowing for traffic in the centre and the red routes where stopping is restricted.

Does the Congestion Charge apply to my delivery?

If the vehicle enters the zone between 7am and 6pm on a weekday, or between noon and 6pm at weekends and on bank holidays, yes: £18 a day, £9 for an electric van registered for Auto Pay. We build it into the quote, so you know before you book.

Do you deliver beyond the M25 within the day?

Yes. A collection in London and a handover in Kent, Essex or Surrey happen within the day, as does a collection from a warehouse outside London for a delivery in town.

What does D0 change compared with a standard express service?

D0 means the same day: the goods are collected and handed over on the day of the order, where a standard express service goes through a sorting centre and delivers on D+1. In London, it means one vehicle going straight from your site to your recipients.

Can you deliver to several London addresses on the same day?

That is the most common case. We group the addresses into a round, in the order that keeps each recipient’s time slot, and you follow every handover in real time.

A delivery in London before tonight?

Send us the collection address, the destinations and the deadline. We will come back with the vehicle, the route and the cost, Congestion Charge included.
