Delivery · Nottingham

In Nottingham, we deliver across the whole urban area, from Hucknall to West Bridgford.

One of our partner couriers in Nottingham collects your parcels, pallets or crates wherever you prepare them, whether that is a warehouse, a central kitchen, a wholesaler or a shop, and takes them to your customers, in the city centre as well as in Arnold, Long Eaton or Hucknall.

In the centre, the Clear Zone brings together pedestrian streets and restricted access streets; on both kinds of street, loading is allowed only before 10am and from 4.30pm. When you book, we place each stop at a time when loading is allowed at your customer’s address, and if your time cannot be kept, you know before you confirm.

Nottingham’s rules

Three rules in central Nottingham change the time and the route of a delivery

We deliver to the Clear Zone’s pedestrian streets before 10am or from 4.30pm

The Clear Zone covers the heart of the city. From 10am to 4.30pm, loading is banned on its pedestrian streets, and on its restricted access streets it is allowed only outside those same hours. For a customer in the Clear Zone, we therefore set the stop before 10am or from 4.30pm, and that is the time you read on your booking.

Our couriers keep out of the bus lanes during their hours of operation

The city has 61 bus lanes and bus gates. Market Street, Carlton Street and part of Hounds Gate are reserved for buses from 4.30pm to 10am, and only the tram crosses Old Market Square between South Parade and Long Row, day and night. Our planning and routing algorithms keep clear of these sections while they apply, and the time we give your customer is worked out on that route.

Nottingham has no Clean Air Zone, and we choose the vehicle for your volume

Seven English cities are on the official list of Clean Air Zones, and Nottingham is not one of them. So we pick the van or the lorry for the volume you ship.

Local rules checked in October 2026.

Nottingham and its urban area

We set the route and the time of every stop before the round sets off

In Nottingham, we set the route of every round and the time of each of its stops before it sets off. During the day, loading is banned on the Clear Zone’s pedestrian streets; from evening to morning, several streets in the centre are open only to buses; to the south, the city enforces the Southern Relief Red Route on Queens Road, Station Street and Trent Street with cameras. As most of the city’s streets are limited to 20 mph, our journey times allow for it.

The courier goes straight from your site to your customers

The vehicle carries only your goods and takes them directly from your collection point to your recipients: it goes through no depot and no sorting centre. As you usually serve several addresses, we put them in order as a round that keeps to each street’s hours, so a customer in the Clear Zone is served before 10am or from 4.30pm. That is how our same-day delivery works, in a van from 5 m³, or in a lorry of more than 20 m³ if you load pallets.

Our couriers collect your products at night for a handover before opening

Most of our work is refrigerated transport, chilled and frozen. A central kitchen often finishes its production in the middle of the night, while the restaurants, shops or supermarkets it supplies expect their chilled and frozen products before they open. The courier collects the goods at night or before dawn, as soon as they are ready, and our night deliveries bring them before opening to the public, at a time when loading is still allowed on the pedestrian streets.

Our team lets your customers know when a stop changes

If a stop has to move after 4.30pm or a recipient does not answer, our team calls the courier and the customer, then contacts you only when a decision is needed. You no longer spend your mornings on the phone following each delivery. Our team follows your deliveries every day from 6am to 10pm.

We connect Nottingham to the rest of the UK

Our couriers also take on longer journeys: a lorry loaded at a warehouse in Broxtowe for a customer in the south of England, or a van bringing stock from another site back to your shops in the centre. Shippr has delivered in the UK since 2023.

Our services in Nottingham

Two services have their own Nottingham page, and everything we offer is available here

For same-day delivery, we place each stop within the Clear Zone’s hours and our couriers keep off the bus-only streets; for refrigerated transport, our couriers collect your products at night so that your customers are served before they open to the public. All our other services work in Nottingham too.

Frequently asked questions

What you ask us before a first delivery in Nottingham

Do you deliver to West Bridgford, Long Eaton or Hucknall?

Yes. We cover all of Greater Nottingham: Nottingham City, Broxtowe, Erewash, Gedling, Rushcliffe and Hucknall. A delivery can also leave from there for any other part of the United Kingdom.

How do I know what time my delivery will reach my customer in the city centre?

Give us their address when you book: we offer you a time when loading is allowed there. On the Clear Zone’s pedestrian streets, loading is banned from 10am to 4.30pm, so the time we offer falls before 10am or from 4.30pm.

Does Nottingham have a Clean Air Zone?

No. Nottingham is not one of the 7 English cities with a Clean Air Zone.

Who answers my customer if they have a question about their delivery?

Our team answers them every day from 6am to 10pm. It gives them the arrival time, stays in touch with the courier and comes to you only when a decision is yours to make.
