Delivery · Lyon

In Lyon and across the Métropole, we deliver to your customers.

Our partner couriers in Lyon collect your goods from your warehouse, your production kitchen, your wholesaler or your shop, and hand them over to your customers on the Presqu’île, Lyon’s city-centre peninsula between the Rhône and the Saône, and in Villeurbanne, Vénissieux or Saint-Priest, anywhere in the Métropole de Lyon.

In the centre, two rules decide the vehicle and the time of a delivery: Lyon’s low-emission zone (ZFE), where only vehicles with a Crit’Air 0, 1 or 2 emissions sticker may drive and park, day and night, and the Presqu’île limited-traffic zone, which motorised deliveries may enter from 6am to 1pm. When you book, we fit each delivery to the hours allowed at your customer’s address; if those hours cannot be met, you know before you confirm.

The Lyon rules

We organise your Lyon deliveries around three local rules

We send a vehicle rated Crit’Air 0, 1 or 2 to every address in the ZFE

The ZFE covers Lyon, except the Port Édouard Herriot and Saint-Rambert. It also covers Caluire-et-Cuire and the parts of Villeurbanne, Bron and Vénissieux inside the Boulevard Laurent Bonnevay ring road. Vans and lorries rated Crit’Air 3, 4, 5 or unclassified may not enter it, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, whether to drive or to park. For a delivery inside that area, we send a vehicle that is allowed in, at no extra cost to you.

On the Presqu’île, we deliver to your customers between 6am and 1pm

A limited-traffic zone covers the Presqu’île, from the foot of the Croix-Rousse slopes to Bellecour, 24 hours a day: through traffic is banned and only authorised vehicles may enter. From 6am to 1pm, the bollards at its five entrances stay lowered for deliveries, with no prior registration, and drivers must show proof of the delivery if stopped. After 1pm, motorised deliveries are no longer allowed there, except for a few premises such as pharmacies. In its pedestrian areas, such as Rue Mercière or Rue de la République, the window ends at 11:30am and a stop is limited to 30 minutes. When you book, we plan each of your Presqu’île handovers before 1pm, and before 11:30am in a pedestrian street.

Our couriers collect your purchases at the Marché de Gros Lyon-Corbas as soon as trading opens

The Marché de Gros Lyon-Corbas, France’s largest private wholesale market for fruit and vegetables, trades Monday to Friday from 5am to noon. Our couriers collect your purchases there before dawn and deliver them to your restaurants and shops across the Métropole before they open to the public.

Local rules checked in October 2026.

Lyon and its Métropole

We deliver to your customers on both sides of the Rhône and the Saône

In Lyon, two traffic rules set the vehicle and the time of a delivery. The ZFE covers Lyon, Caluire-et-Cuire and the parts of Villeurbanne, Bron and Vénissieux inside the Boulevard Laurent Bonnevay, as well as the main roads that cross the conurbation: only vehicles rated Crit’Air 0, 1 or 2 may drive there. At the heart of the city, in the Presqu’île limited-traffic zone, between the foot of the Croix-Rousse slopes and Bellecour, the bollards are lowered for deliveries from 6am to 1pm. In Lyon and several other municipalities of the Métropole, the speed limit is also 30 km/h for every vehicle, and only a few signed roads allow more. Around the city, the 58 municipalities of the Métropole stretch well beyond the ring road, from Vaulx-en-Velin to Corbas, and a round can go from the Presqu’île to any of them.

We reserve a vehicle for your goods, from your site to your customers in Lyon

Every Shippr delivery is dedicated: the vehicle carries only your goods, and the courier drives from your warehouse, your production kitchen or your shop to your recipients, with no stop at a depot. Most of your jobs have several addresses, which we organise as a multi-drop round: for example, from a warehouse in Saint-Priest to shops on the Presqu’île in the morning, then on to customers in Villeurbanne and Bron. Our same-day delivery works this way, from a van of 5 m³ up to a truck of more than 20 m³.

Our couriers collect your chilled and frozen products at night for your customers in Lyon

Refrigerated transport, chilled and frozen alike, is most of what we do. Central kitchens and production kitchens in Lyon often finish production at night, wholesalers sell from dawn, and their customers, restaurants, shops and supermarkets, want their deliveries before they open to the public. The courier collects your order at night or before dawn, then hands it over on the Presqu’île from 6am, when the bollards go down, and in the rest of the Métropole: that is how our night deliveries work.

Our team chases the courier and your customers for you

A customer on Rue Mercière who does not answer, a stop held up on the Boulevard Laurent Bonnevay, an order ready later than planned: our team reaches the courier and the recipient, gives the new time and calls you when a decision is yours to make. That follow-up, far more than the journey, is what costs your teams time and stress, and we take it on every day from 6am to 10pm. Real-time tracking and proof of every delivery stay in your dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

What you ask us before having goods delivered in Lyon

Do you deliver outside the city of Lyon, in the rest of the Métropole?

Yes. We deliver to the 58 municipalities of the Métropole de Lyon, from Villeurbanne and Caluire-et-Cuire to Vénissieux, Saint-Priest or Corbas. Beyond that, we deliver across France.

My warehouse is at the Port Édouard Herriot: is it in the ZFE?

No. The Port Édouard Herriot and Saint-Rambert are outside the ZFE, even though they are in Lyon. Your customers in the rest of Lyon, however, are inside the zone: to deliver to them, we send a vehicle rated Crit’Air 0, 1 or 2, at no extra cost to you.

Can a Crit’Air 3 van cross Lyon on the M6, the urban motorway through the city, or on the Boulevard Laurent Bonnevay?

No. The M6 and M7, the Boulevard Périphérique Nord and the Boulevard Laurent Bonnevay are part of the ZFE: a vehicle that is not allowed in the zone cannot cross Lyon on those roads either. When your delivery uses them, we send a vehicle rated Crit’Air 0, 1 or 2.

Do you deliver in the Métropole de Lyon with a van or a refrigerated vehicle?

Do you have customers to deliver in Lyon or the Métropole?

Tell us which of your customers are on the Presqu’île, where we deliver before 1pm, and which are in its pedestrian streets, where we deliver before 11:30am. For all the others, an address and a delivery time are enough: we come back to you with the vehicle we will send and a handover time for each customer.
