Delivery · Cambridge

In Cambridge, we deliver to your customers in the city and across South Cambridgeshire.

Our partner couriers in Cambridge load your goods wherever they are, at your warehouse, your central kitchen, your wholesaler or your shop, and hand them over to your customers in the city’s 14 wards and in the villages around it, from Cambourne to Sawston.

Cambridge has no Clean Air Zone and no congestion charge. What sets the time of a delivery here is the access rules: the historic centre is closed to vehicles from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday, and several bus gates are in force day and night. As soon as you book, we fit each handover into the window your customer’s address allows, and we tell you straight away when that window cannot be met.

Cambridge’s rules

What Cambridge’s access rules change for your rounds in the city

In the historic centre, we deliver to your customer before 10am or from 4pm

The historic centre is a pedestrian priority area day and night, and from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday, no vehicle may enter it without a permit; during those hours, loading and waiting are banned there too, and a vehicle found in the zone is given a penalty charge on the spot. For a shop or a restaurant inside that area, we set the handover outside those hours, and you know it as soon as you book.

Our couriers cross Cambridge without using the Mill Road bridge or Bridge Street

Bridge Street, Silver Street, Emmanuel Road, Station Road, Brookgate, the Mill Road bridge and Regent Street towards the centre are bus gates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, open to cyclists, emergency vehicles and, on most of them, taxis; a delivery van may not use them, and driving through costs £70. To get from one ward to another, the courier therefore goes round by the roads open to vans, and the delivery time we give your customer is calculated on that route.

On King’s Parade, we deliver to your customer before 9.30am or after 7pm

In front of King’s College, a security barrier closes King’s Parade every day from 9.30am to 7pm, and no vehicle can then drive or park beyond it. For an address behind that barrier, we set the handover early in the morning or in the evening, and we tell you so when you book.

Local rules checked in October 2026.

Cambridge and the villages around it

We plan each round around the access hours of each street

We deliver to central Cambridge outside the hours it is closed to vehicles, 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday. Around the colleges, pedestrians have priority day and night, and several roads linking the centre to the rest of the city remain bus gates at all times. Around the city, South Cambridgeshire has 103 villages, and a single round often delivers to customers in the city and then in the villages.

A vehicle reserved for your goods goes from your site to each of your customers

All our deliveries are dedicated: the courier loads at your site and goes straight to your recipients, with no depot or sorting centre in between. Most jobs serve several addresses; we link them into a round that starts with the historic centre’s stops when they have to be delivered before 10am, then heads out to the villages. That is how our same-day delivery works, with a van from 5 m³ or, for a large load, a lorry of more than 20 m³.

Our couriers collect your chilled and frozen products before dawn

Most of our work is refrigerated transport, chilled and frozen alike. A central kitchen finishes its production during the night, and Cambridge’s restaurants, shops and supermarkets want their delivery before they open. The courier collects your products as soon as they are ready, from your wholesaler or your central kitchen, and hands them over before opening time: that is our night delivery. Your customers in the historic centre get their goods well before the centre closes to vehicles.

We also deliver between South Cambridgeshire and the rest of the country

We do more than the last mile. We also handle the first mile and the journeys in between: from a site in South Cambridgeshire to a warehouse, a shop or a customer elsewhere in the United Kingdom, for example. The load travels in a vehicle reserved for your goods, without passing through a depot.

What we do in Cambridge

Two of our services have their own Cambridge page, and our whole offer is available here

We deliver the same day, setting each handover around the historic centre’s access hours, and our couriers collect your products at night to deliver them before opening time. The rest of our offer, from night delivery to store-to-store transfers, can also be booked for Cambridge and its villages.

Frequently asked questions

Questions businesses ask before delivering to customers in Cambridge and the surrounding villages

Do you deliver to the villages around Cambridge, such as Cambourne, Histon or Sawston?

Yes. We cover Cambridge and the whole of South Cambridgeshire, from Cambourne to Cottenham, from Histon and Impington to Great Shelford and Sawston. Beyond that, we deliver across the United Kingdom.

Is there a Clean Air Zone or a congestion charge in Cambridge?

No. Cambridge has no Clean Air Zone, and the Greater Cambridge Partnership dropped its plans for a road charge.

There is no one to take delivery before opening: can you still deliver?

Yes. If you entrust us with the codes or keys to your shop or restaurant, the courier leaves the goods inside and the handover is recorded with its proof of delivery. It is common practice for us, and useful in the historic centre, where an early-morning delivery avoids the hours when it is closed to vehicles.
