Delivery API: create your deliveries from your own software
Shippr’s REST API creates, updates and cancels your deliveries, gives you an instant quote and returns every recipient’s tracking link. Signed webhooks tell you about every change of status, and you test it all in a sandbox.

}What the API does
Your deliveries, from your software
You create and track your deliveries
Create, update and cancel, for one destination or dozens, with time slots, parcel sizes and a reference number. Every destination comes back with its tracking link.
You know the price before you order
A quote call returns the delivery’s price, in pence or cents and in your currency, before you create it.
Your systems receive every status
Signed webhooks send every change of status of a delivery and its destinations. The signature lets you check that the request really comes from Shippr.
How it works
Step by step
- 01
You create your account
Then an API key, in your dashboard’s settings.
- 02
You test in the sandbox
It accepts the same calls as production, with no real delivery.
- 03
You go live
Your calls go to the production address, and your deliveries go out for real.
- 04
You receive the statuses
Your webhooks receive every change, and your dashboard shows how they are doing.

Frequently asked questions
The Shippr API
Is there a test environment?
Yes. The sandbox, at api.demo.shippr.dev, accepts the same calls as production without triggering a real delivery.
How do I authenticate?
With an API key you generate in your dashboard’s settings and send in the Authorization header of every call. A missing or invalid key returns a 401 error.
Can I know the price before I create a delivery?
Yes. The quote call returns the price in the smallest unit of your currency, from the same information as a creation.
What do the webhooks contain?
The identifier and the new status of the delivery or destination that changed. Every request is signed, and if it fails we retry six times. You then get the details through the API.
Is my software already connected to Shippr?
Perhaps: Shopify, Deliverect, Urbantz, Orkestro and Woop already send their deliveries to Shippr. If yours is not one of them, the API is enough, and our documentation describes every call.
Do your orders start in your own software?
Tell us which one: we’ll point you to the shortest route, an existing integration or the API.
