Delivering in Paris

Six Paris rules, and what we do about them

The Greater Paris ZFE

The low-emission zone covers everything inside the A86 motorway, Paris and the Périphérique included. Vans rated Crit’Air 3, 4, 5 or unclassified may no longer drive in it on weekdays from 8am to 8pm. Checks remain advisory until 31 December 2026, but the rule already applies: we send a vehicle that is allowed.

The hour depends on the size

The Paris goods-delivery rules sort vehicles by floor area. Under 29 m², a van delivers from 10pm to 5pm; from 29 to 43 m², a lorry delivers only from 10pm to 7am; between 5pm and 10pm, only clean vehicles — electric, gas or hybrid — may deliver. Our planning algorithms choose the vehicle by the time of handover.

Loading bays: 30 minutes

A stop in a loading bay is limited to 30 minutes, with a parking disc required. We give the driver the goods entrance, the receiving hours and the person in charge on site, and tell your customer when they will arrive: unloading fits in the time allowed.

Paris Centre, a limited-traffic zone

Since November 2024, motor vehicles may no longer drive through the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th arrondissements. Delivering there is still allowed: our rounds drive in for a specific address and back out without crossing.

30 km/h, 50 on the Périphérique

Since August 2021 almost every street in Paris has been limited to 30 km/h; the Périphérique has been limited to 50 km/h since October 2024. Our routing algorithms work out arrival times at those speeds, not a map’s.

The wholesale market, at night

Food wholesalers work through the night, starting with those at the Rungis International Market, south of Paris. We organise collections from them and rounds to your restaurants, shops and supermarkets before they open to the public.

Local rules checked in October 2026.

Paris and its metropolis

A city where every delivery is prepared before departure

Shippr organises deliveries every day in Paris, as in many other cities across Europe. Here more than anywhere, a delivery is decided in advance: a vehicle allowed in the low-emission zone, an hour the rules permit for its size, a free loading bay outside the address, a receiving desk that is open on arrival, and someone who answers when the entrance is closed.

A vehicle for you, not one more warehouse

We reserve a vehicle for your job. It collects from you and delivers straight to your recipients, with no sorting centre. In Paris, that means, for example, restocking shops from a workshop in Saint-Ouen, or moving an item from one shop to another in the afternoon.

One address is a direct trip; most of the time there are several, and we organise them as a multi-drop round. That is how our same-day delivery works, from a van to a 20 m³ truck.

At night, for the food trade

Central kitchens, caterers and wholesalers work while Paris sleeps, and their customers take delivery before the doors open to the public. We organise their refrigerated transport, chilled or frozen, and our night deliveries: collection as production ends or from the wholesaler, Rungis for example, handover before opening time.

Your team no longer has to chase

A driver stuck at Porte de la Chapelle, a loading bay with a car in it, a recipient in a meeting: the Shippr team follows the delivery, tells whoever needs to know and finds the fix. That follow-up is what costs most in logistics, in time and in stress, and it is what we take on. Photos, signatures and real-time tracking stay in your dashboard.

Beyond the Périphérique

A round can leave a warehouse in Gennevilliers or Chilly-Mazarin for your customers in Paris, or connect Paris with the towns of the outer suburbs: we deliver across Île-de-France and beyond.

Frequently asked questions

Delivering in Paris: what we are asked

How far around Paris do you deliver?

Across Île-de-France: Paris inside the Périphérique, the inner suburbs (Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne) and the outer suburbs (Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, Essonne, Val-d’Oise), then beyond, from Paris as well as into it.

Are your vehicles allowed to drive in the Greater Paris ZFE?

Inside the A86, on weekdays from 8am to 8pm, vans rated Crit’Air 3, 4, 5 or unclassified are no longer allowed; checks remain advisory until 31 December 2026.

We send a partner whose vehicle is allowed. There is no sticker or exemption for you to apply for.

Can you deliver after 5pm?

Yes. From 5pm to 10pm, the Paris rules reserve deliveries for clean vehicles: electric, gas or hybrid. For a handover in that window, we plan a vehicle that is entitled to it.

Can you deliver large volumes in Paris?

Yes, up to a 20 m³ truck. Beyond that the rule changes: a lorry of 29 to 43 m² floor area may only deliver in Paris between 10pm and 7am, so a delivery of that size is planned for the night.

Who follows the delivery if an entrance is closed?

Our team, from 6am to 10pm, every day. It reaches the recipient, finds another way in or re-plans, and lets you know. Every handover stays on record in your dashboard.

Are you a courier in Paris?
