Bordeaux Métropole stretches across both banks, from Blanquefort to Bègles and from Mérignac to Floirac. Inside the ring road, the ZFE low-emission zone applies day and night; in the centre, bollards close off the pedestrian zone, where deliveries take place from 6am to 11am; and on 89% of Bordeaux’s streets the speed limit is 30 km/h, down to 20 km/h in shared-space zones, where pedestrians have priority. So we plan every Bordeaux delivery around timing and route as much as distance.
We link your addresses on both banks into a single round
Each of our deliveries is dedicated: the vehicle carries only your goods, with no depot or sorting centre on the way. In Bordeaux, that might be a supplier in Blanquefort restocking shops in Cenon and Floirac, or a workshop in Eysines waiting for a part within the day. A job almost always covers several addresses, often on either side of the river: we link them into a multi-drop round, placing those in the pedestrian zone before 11am and allowing for the planned closures of the Chaban-Delmas bridge. That is how our same-day delivery works.
Your restaurants in Les Chartrons and Saint-Michel receive their fresh products before they open
Refrigerated transport, chilled and frozen alike, is the core of our business. Central kitchens often finish their production during the night, and wholesalers, at the MIN de Bordeaux Brienne wholesale market for example, make up their orders long before daybreak. The courier collects your order at night or before dawn and, as a night delivery, hands it over to your restaurants, shops and supermarkets before they open to the public; in the pedestrian zone, from 6am. If nobody is there to take delivery, they let themselves in with the codes or keys you entrust to us.
Our team calls your customers in Les Chartrons or Cenon when the handover time changes
A loading bay already taken outside a shop in the centre, a Chaban-Delmas bridge closure moved by the harbour master, a customer on the right bank who does not answer: our team reaches the courier, gives the recipient the new time and calls you only when a decision is yours to make. They follow your Bordeaux deliveries every day from 6am to 10pm, and your dashboard keeps proof of every handover.
The courier sets off from your warehouse in Bassens or Mérignac to your customers in other regions
A truck leaving a warehouse on the right bank for a customer in another region, a van bringing stock from another site to your shops in the Métropole: we take on those journeys too. Shippr has been delivering in France since 2021.
