Lyon · Same-day delivery

In Lyon, we deliver to your customers the same day, from the Presqu’île in the city centre to Vaulx-en-Velin.

Our partner couriers in Lyon collect your goods and hand them over to your customers on the day of the order, D0, in Lyon and across the rest of the Métropole: for example, restocking a shop on Rue de la République, on the Presqu’île, Lyon’s city-centre peninsula between the Rhône and the Saône, before 11:30am. We choose the vehicle by the volume, the address and the time at which your customer can take delivery.

Three Lyon rules we plan every same-day delivery around

We put your Presqu’île stops at the start of the round

In the Presqu’île limited-traffic zone, motorised deliveries may no longer enter after 1pm, and in its pedestrian areas, such as Rue Mercière or Rue de la République, they stop at 11:30am. So we put your Presqu’île stops at the start of the round, then the courier carries on to your customers in the rest of the Métropole. If a handover cannot happen in time, you know when you book.

Our vans cross Lyon on the M6, the M7 and the ring road

Since 1 January 2024, a vehicle barred from the low-emission zone (ZFE) may no longer cross Lyon on the M6, the M7, the Boulevard Périphérique Nord or the Laurent Bonnevay ring road, and vans rated Crit’Air 3, 4, 5 or unclassified have been kept out of the zone since 2021. A same-day order going from a warehouse in Saint-Priest to a customer in Villeurbanne or Caluire-et-Cuire therefore takes those roads, in a Crit’Air 0, 1 or 2 van allowed in the zone.

We work out every same-day journey at Lyon’s 30 km/h limit

In Lyon and several other municipalities of the Métropole, the speed limit is 30 km/h for all vehicles, except on a few signed roads. When you order during the day, we work out the journey from your site to each customer at that limit, and we tell you when you book whether the handover can happen at the time your customer asks for.

Local rules checked in October 2026.

How we work

We deliver to the Presqu’île and the municipalities east of Lyon within the same day

In Lyon, a same-day delivery is set by two Presqu’île deadlines: 11:30am in the pedestrian streets, and 1pm in the limited-traffic zone, after which motorised deliveries are no longer allowed there, except for a few premises. For an order received mid-morning for a shop on Rue de la République, the margin is short, and the courier can carry on with the same round to Vaulx-en-Velin, Bron or Saint-Priest.

You give us the collection address, your customers’ addresses, the volume and the time by which each one must be delivered. Our planning and routing algorithms put the stops in order as a multi-drop round: the Presqu’île first, then the addresses in the rest of the Métropole. One of our partner couriers in Lyon takes the job with a van or a truck reserved for your goods, depending on your volume, and stops only at your recipients. If the round uses the M6 or the M7, the urban motorways through Lyon, or the Boulevard Laurent Bonnevay, which are all inside the ZFE, we book a vehicle with a Crit’Air 0, 1 or 2 emissions sticker from the start. You follow the vehicle in real time in your dashboard, then the proof of each delivery. Our team follows your deliveries every day from 6am to 10pm: when a handover at a shop in a pedestrian street risks running past 11:30am, it reaches the courier and your customer, and calls you if a decision is yours to make.

The service

What our same-day delivery (D0) includes

The service is the same in all our cities. In Lyon, we organise it around the Presqu’île delivery hours and the rules of Lyon’s low-emission zone (ZFE).

Tailor-made

An organisation that fits your everyday

A collection at a supplier, a restocking round or orders to deliver to your customers: Shippr organises your transport the same day, from the first to the last mile.

Together we define the vehicles, the time slots and the instructions that suit your volumes, your packaging and the storage requirements of your goods. For a one-off job as much as for regular rounds, our operations team coordinates the partners, follows the deliveries and stays your point of contact when something unexpected comes up.

Operational efficiency

Less handling, a smoother flow

Your goods travel from the collection point to their destinations without passing through a sorting centre. Fewer intermediate handlings means less risk of breakage, and the chance to cut back on over-packaging and save on your packaging costs, while keeping the packaging your products need.

The Shippr team follows the progress of the deliveries, coordinates the exchanges with the partners and steps in when something unexpected happens. From your dashboard you find the statuses and the proof of receipt, to inform your customers and organise the rest of your activity.

Frequently asked questions

What you ask us before a same-day delivery in Lyon

What does D0 mean?

Day zero: your goods are collected and handed over on the day of the order, where a standard carrier delivers on D+1. In Lyon, we fit that handover to the hours allowed at your customer’s address, for example before 11:30am in the pedestrian streets of the Presqu’île.

How late can I order for a delivery today?

It depends on your customer’s address. In the pedestrian streets of the Presqu’île, such as Rue Mercière or Rue de la République, we deliver before 11:30am; in the rest of the Presqu’île, before 1pm, the time after which motorised deliveries are no longer allowed there; in the rest of the Métropole, we deliver during the hours when your customer takes delivery. When you book, we confirm the handover time, or tell you the order has come in too late for today.

Do you deliver the same day to Vaulx-en-Velin or Oullins-Pierre-Bénite?

Yes, as in all 58 municipalities of the Métropole de Lyon. Both are outside the Presqu’île: we deliver to your customer there during the hours when they take delivery, and confirm the handover time when you book.

Can I follow the vehicle during the delivery?

Yes. Your dashboard shows the vehicle in real time, then the proof of delivery as soon as the handover is done.

Do you have shops on the Presqu’île or customers in the Métropole to deliver today?

Send us the collection address, your customers’ addresses and the latest time for each. We come back to you with the vehicle chosen and the time of each handover, the Presqu’île included.
