In Lille and across Greater Lille, we carry your chilled and frozen products.

Meat, fish, dairy products, ready meals, fruit and vegetables: Shippr carries what has to stay cold across Greater Lille, chilled or frozen. Our couriers collect it at night or before dawn, from your central kitchen or your wholesaler, and deliver it to restaurants, shops, supermarkets and caterers before they open to the public, in a refrigerated vehicle reserved for your goods.

Cold chain in Greater Lille

We plan every refrigerated round around three Lille constraints

Our couriers collect your order from your wholesaler as soon as it is ready, at night or in the morning

At the Lomme wholesale market, for example, the Euralimentaire site stays accessible 24/7: the courier can collect there at night the order your wholesaler has prepared, in a refrigerated vehicle brought to temperature before loading. They then deliver to your customers before they open, and to a restaurant on the Grand’Place before 11am if your order comes in in time. We’ll confirm that when you book.

The courier puts your fresh products away in the cold room of a restaurant that is still closed

On the Grand’Place, delivery vehicles may enter from 7am to 11am, often before a restaurant’s team arrives. With the codes or keys you entrust to us, the courier lets themselves in and puts the goods away in the cold room, where they stay until the team arrives.

Greater Lille’s low-emission zone also covers the motorways our night refrigerated rounds use

The low-emission zone (ZFE) applies 24 hours a day across the MEL’s 95 municipalities and on the main roads running through them: the A1, A22, A23, A25 and A27. A round loaded at night at the Lomme wholesale market, which connects directly to the A25, therefore stays inside the zone from loading to the last drop. The refrigerated vehicle we assign carries its Crit’Air sticker and is allowed in the zone: there is nothing for you to provide.

Local rules checked in October 2026.

How we work

We deliver your chilled and frozen products in all 95 municipalities of the MEL, before each of your customers opens

In Greater Lille, a refrigerated round fits between the time your central kitchen finishes production, or your wholesaler has prepared the order, and the time your customers open. On the Grand’Place, the city also allows delivery vehicles only from 7am to 11am. On Saturdays, a wide area of the city centre becomes pedestrian from 11am to 7pm as well, so we place the stop of a restaurant or shop in those streets before 11am. Our couriers collect the goods as soon as they are ready and deliver them within that interval.

At the Lomme wholesale market, nearly 50 businesses serve 3,000 buyers: local shopkeepers, restaurateurs, market traders and caterers from across the metropolitan area. For the wholesalers who supply them, as for central kitchens in Lille, we agree with you on the temperature range and the packaging of each product, then book a partner courier whose refrigerated vehicle is reserved for your goods; it stops at no warehouse on the way and is allowed in the metropolitan area’s low-emission zone (ZFE). Most often, it serves several customers on a multi-drop round, and runs at night when your customers must be served before they open. The page on our refrigerated transport describes the service in detail.

The service

What our refrigerated transport includes

The service is the same in all our cities. In Lille, it follows the wholesalers’ trading hours and the morning window on the Grand’Place.

Cold-chain expertise

Refrigerated transport starts before departure

Pre-cooling the vehicle, temperature at loading, handling instructions: our team agrees the necessary precautions with you and passes them on to the transport partners.

On your regular refrigerated rounds, data loggers track temperatures during transport. If there is a deviation or anything unexpected, our team coordinates the response with the carrier and keeps you informed.

The right vehicle, from chilled to frozen

Crates, boxes or pallets: Shippr brings in equipped partners for your volumes and your temperature needs, from 0–4 °C to 0–7 °C, or −20 °C for your frozen products.

One-off delivery or a round between your stores, shops and restaurants: we adapt the transport capacity, the frequency of stops and the loading arrangements to the way you work.

Service continuity

The unexpected should not disrupt your business

A carrier unavailable, a vehicle off the road or a rise in orders? The Shippr team finds a replacement that meets your temperature requirements and adjusts the organisation of your rounds.

We coordinate the changes with the partners and let you know the new times, to limit the impact on your supply and your customers.

Frequently asked questions

What you ask us before a refrigerated round in Lille

Do my frozen goods stay at −20 °C all the way to a restaurant on the Grand’Place delivered from 7am?

Yes. The vehicle is brought to temperature before loading and carries frozen goods at −20 °C through to the handover; your fresh products travel chilled, from 0 to 4 °C or from 0 to 7 °C depending on the products. If you are carrying both, we book a dual-temperature vehicle. In a restaurant that is still closed, the courier then puts the goods away in your cold room.

Can I check the temperature of my products on a regular round?

Yes. On your regular rounds, an on-board data logger records the temperature continuously, and our team alerts you as soon as it moves outside the agreed range.

My volume needs a refrigerated truck over 3.5 t: can you provide one?

Yes, it is possible, but not guaranteed: give us the volume and the date of the round, and we tell you when you book whether a refrigerated truck over 3.5 t can do it.

Are your customers in Lille waiting for chilled or frozen products?

Tell us your products, their temperature range, your loading points and each customer’s receiving time: we come back to you with a refrigerated vehicle, an order of stops and a price.
