Refrigerated transport · Toulouse

We deliver your chilled and frozen goods to your customers in Toulouse before they open.

When your central kitchen finishes production during the night, or your wholesaler has prepared your order before dawn, one of our partner couriers in Toulouse comes to load it into a refrigerated vehicle reserved for your goods. They then deliver to your restaurants, your food shops and your supermarkets, from the city centre to Tournefeuille or Saint-Orens-de-Gameville, before they open.

What the ZFE, the Boulevards and the loading bays change for your refrigerated rounds

Toulouse’s ZFE applies at night too, and we deliver there with a refrigerated vehicle that is allowed in

Inside the Toulouse ring road and in the small part of Colomiers and Tournefeuille it covers, the ZFE low-emission zone applies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: a vehicle rated Crit’Air 4, Crit’Air 5 or unclassified may neither drive nor park in it, including on a round that sets off in the middle of the night. For your customers in the zone, we send a refrigerated vehicle that is allowed in, and there is nothing for you to arrange.

We deliver to your restaurants and shops in the centre before 11:30am

Inside the Boulevards, a petrol or diesel vehicle may not deliver from 11:30am to 7pm. When the refrigerated vehicle on your round runs on petrol or diesel, we therefore place your stops in the centre during the night or early in the morning, before opening, and you know the time of every handover as soon as you book.

In a Toulouse loading bay, the refrigerated vehicle unloads in 30 minutes at most, day or night

In Toulouse, parking in a loading bay is prohibited: only a vehicle that is loading or unloading may stop there, at any hour, for 30 minutes at most. Before departure, we locate for each of your customers the spot where the refrigerated vehicle stops, and the courier unloads your chilled and frozen products within that time.

Local rules checked in October 2026.

How we work

We load when your order is ready and serve the centre before 11:30am

Inside the ring road and in a small part of Colomiers and Tournefeuille, the ZFE low-emission zone applies day and night: a round that sets off in the middle of the night is subject to it just as in the daytime, and the refrigerated vehicle we send is allowed in. The round starts when your production run finishes; for your customers in the centre, it ends before 11:30am when the vehicle runs on petrol or diesel, since inside the Boulevards, the ring of boulevards around the historic centre, the city’s delivery by-law then bars it from delivering until 7pm. On the Boulevards and beyond, deliveries are allowed 24 hours a day, and we place each stop at the time your customer takes delivery.

The courier comes to load as soon as your order is ready, at your wholesaler at the MIN Toulouse Occitanie wholesale market, for example, which is open to the trade 24 hours a day. When your refrigerated vehicle runs on petrol or diesel, we order the multi-drop round so that your restaurants and shops inside the Boulevards are served before 11:30am, then go on to those along the ring road and in the other municipalities, which we can deliver at any time. That vehicle carries only your goods, and the courier brings it to your products’ temperature before loading. Before 11:30am, the staff of a restaurant in the centre are often not in yet: our night deliveries then provide for the courier to open up with the code or key you give them and put the chilled and frozen goods away in the cold room. From 6am to 10pm, our team follows every stop, and it is our team that calls a customer who does not pick up. Temperatures, on-board data logger, dual-temperature vehicle: the full service is described on our refrigerated transport page.

The service

What our refrigerated transport includes

The service is the same in all our cities. In Toulouse, we organise it around the Métropole’s ZFE, which also applies at night, and around the delivery hours inside the Boulevards.

Cold-chain expertise

Refrigerated transport starts before departure

Pre-cooling the vehicle, temperature at loading, handling instructions: our team agrees the necessary precautions with you and passes them on to the transport partners.

On your regular refrigerated rounds, data loggers track temperatures during transport. If there is a deviation or anything unexpected, our team coordinates the response with the carrier and keeps you informed.

The unexpected should not disrupt your business

A carrier unavailable, a vehicle off the road or a rise in orders? The Shippr team finds a replacement that meets your temperature requirements and adjusts the organisation of your rounds.

We coordinate the changes with the partners and let you know the new times, to limit the impact on your supply and your customers.

Frequently asked questions

What you ask us before a refrigerated round in Toulouse

Can you load the order my wholesaler prepares in the middle of the night?

Yes. Tell us when you book the time at which it is ready: the courier comes to load it at your wholesaler at that time, straight into the refrigerated vehicle reserved for your round, then delivers to your customers in the agreed order.

At what temperature do my products travel to my customers?

At the one we set together for each product: 0–4 °C or 0–7 °C for chilled goods, −20 °C for frozen goods. The courier brings the refrigerated unit to temperature before loading. On a regular round, an on-board data logger tracks the temperature throughout the journey, and we alert you as soon as it drifts outside the agreed range.

I deliver both chilled and frozen products: do you need two vehicles?

No. A dual-temperature vehicle keeps your chilled products chilled and your frozen products frozen on one and the same journey.

Can you send a refrigerated truck over 3.5 t for a large round?

Yes, when one of our partners has one available: it is not guaranteed, and we confirm it to you when you book.

Do you deliver chilled or frozen products in Toulouse?

Tell us your products and their temperature, the address of your kitchen or your wholesaler, the time the order is ready and each customer’s opening time. We come back to you with the refrigerated vehicle, the loading time and the order of stops.
