Rennes · Same-day delivery

In Rennes, we deliver to your customers the same day, from the historic centre to Bruz or Betton.

In the pedestrian streets of Rennes, deliveries resume from 6.30pm to 8pm, Monday to Saturday, so a same-day order that missed the morning window can still get there in the evening. For example, when you order at 12 noon for a shop on a pedestrian street in the centre, the courier hands it over that same evening between 6.30pm and 8pm. Your other customers in the Métropole’s 43 municipalities get their delivery within the day, in D0.

What the Rennes traffic rules change for a same-day delivery

Monday to Saturday, we deliver your afternoon orders for a pedestrian street between 6.30pm and 8pm

In the pedestrian areas, deliveries are allowed Monday to Saturday from 6am to 11.30am, then from 6.30pm to 8pm. When your order comes in too late for the morning window, the courier hands it to your customer on the pedestrian street in the evening window, the same day. You know the time chosen as soon as you book.

We deliver the same day to your customers in the historic centre’s limited-traffic zone

In the historic centre, a limited-traffic zone gives pedestrians and cyclists priority; not every vehicle may enter, and the speed limit is 20 km/h. For a same-day delivery to a customer there, we allow for that stretch at 20 km/h in the handover time we give you when you book.

For a same-day round inside the ring road, we choose a courier whose van displays its Crit’Air sticker

The low-emission zone applies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except on 1 May, and every vehicle there must display a Crit’Air sticker. When you book a same-day delivery, we therefore choose a courier whose van displays one: the round leaves as soon as your goods are collected, without changing vehicle, and the same van can deliver to a shop on a pedestrian street in the centre in the evening, between 6.30pm and 8pm Monday to Saturday.

Local rules checked in October 2026.

How we work

We deliver within the day to your customers in Bruz, Betton or Cesson-Sévigné

In Rennes, we deliver to the centre’s pedestrian streets the same day in two windows: from 6am to 11.30am, then from 6.30pm to 8pm, Monday to Saturday, in the pedestrian areas closed off by bollards. An order received late in the morning no longer fits into the first; it fits into the second, and in between, the courier can serve your customers in Cesson-Sévigné, Chantepie or Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande.

For each job, you give us the collection point, your destinations, the volume and each customer’s latest delivery time. Our planning and routing algorithms turn them into a multi-drop round that respects the pedestrian areas’ windows, the 20 km/h limit in the historic centre’s limited-traffic zone and Rennes’s move to a ‘ville à 30’. The job goes to one of our partner couriers in Rennes, with a vehicle that carries only your goods: a van from 5 m³, or a truck of over 20 m³ for large volumes. If the round goes inside the ring road, the vehicle chosen displays its Crit’Air sticker. Real-time tracking and the proof of every handover are in your dashboard, and our team follows every handover daily from 6am to 10pm. When a handover time cannot be met, we tell you when you book.

  • Restaurants and caterers taking office lunches to businesses in Cesson-Sévigné or Saint-Grégoire, and food wholesalers delivering in the afternoon what a customer forgot to order that morning.

The service

What our same-day delivery (D0) includes

Wherever we deliver, the service includes the same elements. What changes in Rennes is the two delivery windows of the pedestrian streets and the Crit’Air sticker required inside the ring road.

Tailor-made

An organisation that fits your everyday

A collection at a supplier, a restocking round or orders to deliver to your customers: Shippr organises your transport the same day, from the first to the last mile.

Together we define the vehicles, the time slots and the instructions that suit your volumes, your packaging and the storage requirements of your goods. For a one-off job as much as for regular rounds, our operations team coordinates the partners, follows the deliveries and stays your point of contact when something unexpected comes up.

Operational efficiency

Less handling, a smoother flow

Your goods travel from the collection point to their destinations without passing through a sorting centre. Fewer intermediate handlings means less risk of breakage, and the chance to cut back on over-packaging and save on your packaging costs, while keeping the packaging your products need.

The Shippr team follows the progress of the deliveries, coordinates the exchanges with the partners and steps in when something unexpected happens. From your dashboard you find the statuses and the proof of receipt, to inform your customers and organise the rest of your activity.

Frequently asked questions

What you ask us before a same-day delivery in Rennes

What does D0 mean?

D0 means a delivery made on the day of the order: the courier collects and hands over your goods on the same day, where a traditional carrier delivers the next day. For a customer on a pedestrian street in Rennes, that handover takes place Monday to Saturday, from 6am to 11.30am or from 6.30pm to 8pm.

The morning window has passed for my shop on a pedestrian street: can you still deliver to it today?

Yes: in the evening, between 6.30pm and 8pm Monday to Saturday, deliveries are allowed again in the pedestrian areas, and the courier hands over your order within that window. When you book, we give you the handover time, or tell you that the delivery can no longer go out today.

My shop is in the historic centre: are delivery drivers allowed into the limited-traffic zone?

Yes. Not every vehicle may enter the zone, but delivery drivers are allowed in with proof: an order form or a delivery note.

Do you have shops in the centre or customers in the Métropole to deliver to today?

Send us the collection address, your customers’ addresses and each one’s latest delivery time, flagging those on pedestrian streets. We reply with the vehicle chosen and the time of each handover, morning or evening.
