Charleroi · Same-day delivery

In Charleroi, we deliver your orders the same day across the whole district, and before 10am in the pedestrian streets.

Fresh stock for a shop on the place Verte, the missing lines a wholesaler still has to get to a restaurant in Châtelet, boxes from a warehouse in Courcelles for a supermarket in Fleurus: Shippr delivers them same-day (D0) across the 12 municipalities of the Charleroi district, in a vehicle chosen for your load and with a handover time that allows for access to the address.

Three rules that decide the time of a same-day handover

The pedestrian streets close at 10am

The bollards in the centre go up at 10am and do not lower automatically again until the next day. For an address in the Ville-Basse, a same-day order therefore has to reach the customer before 10am. If the journey does not allow it, we tell you at booking, before you confirm, and the handover takes place the next morning, before 10am.

Express bays for unloading in the centre

In central Charleroi, outside the streets closed by bollards, a same-day order handed over in the middle of the day is unloaded in an Express bay when there is one near the shop: it is free for 30 minutes, with no ticket or parking disc. Otherwise the courier parks in an ordinary street bay, where the first hour is free once the number plate is registered at the pay machine, by app or by text.

A 30 km/h centre, 20 km/h in places

The city centre is a 30 km/h zone and its shared-space zones are limited to 20 km/h. A same-day order that crosses the centre and then heads for Gerpinnes or Pont-à-Celles is therefore calculated at those speeds: our planning and routing algorithms use them to set the time given to each recipient.

Local rules checked in October 2026.

How we run it

The centre before 10am, the district for the rest of the day

A same-day order in Charleroi has two deadlines to meet: your customer’s, and 10am, when the Ville-Basse bollards go up. A shop on the rue de Dampremy therefore gets its delivery in the morning; a supermarket in Fleurus or a restaurant in Montigny-le-Tilleul can take it later in the day, whenever it accepts deliveries. It is that sequence, more than the distance between Pont-à-Celles and Gerpinnes, that decides whether an order can go out the same day.

You give us the collection point, the addresses, the volume and the cut-off time. We turn them into a multi-drop round: the pedestrian-zone addresses before 10am, then those in the rest of the district. One of our partner couriers in Charleroi takes it with the right vehicle, from a van to a 20 m³ lorry, and your goods leave the vehicle only at handover. If a recipient is out, our team takes over, not yours.

Who uses same-day delivery to reach Charleroi customers

  • Retail chains restocking their shops in the Ville-Basse before 10am, or moving an item from one shop to another with a store-to-store transfer.
  • Food wholesalers completing, within the day, an order for a supermarket in Fleurus or Châtelet.
  • Central kitchens and caterers supplying a canteen or a restaurant in the district on the day the order comes in.

The service

What our same-day delivery (D0) includes

The service is the same in all our cities. In Charleroi, it is organised around 10am, when the pedestrian-zone bollards go up, and around the Express bays, free for 30 minutes, where the courier unloads during the day when there is one near the shop.

Tailor-made

An organisation that fits your everyday

A collection at a supplier, a restocking round or orders to deliver to your customers: Shippr organises your transport the same day, from the first to the last mile.

Together we define the vehicles, the time slots and the instructions that suit your volumes, your packaging and the storage requirements of your goods. For a one-off job as much as for regular rounds, our operations team coordinates the partners, follows the deliveries and stays your point of contact when something unexpected comes up.

Operational efficiency

Less handling, a smoother flow

Your goods travel from the collection point to their destinations without passing through a sorting centre. Fewer intermediate handlings means less risk of breakage, and the chance to cut back on over-packaging and save on your packaging costs, while keeping the packaging your products need.

The Shippr team follows the progress of the deliveries, coordinates the exchanges with the partners and steps in when something unexpected happens. From your dashboard you find the statuses and the proof of receipt, to inform your customers and organise the rest of your activity.

Save time

Your deliveries move. So does your business.

Free your teams from organising transport day after day. Finding partners, passing on the instructions, coordinating and following the rounds: Shippr takes it over, so you can spend more time on your customers and your growth.

A driver who drops out, a blocked access or a peak in orders? Our operations team looks for solutions, coordinates the adjustments and keeps you informed. You keep sight of your deliveries, with one point of contact to help you through the decisions that need making.

Frequently asked questions

Delivering in Charleroi within the day: your questions

What does D0 mean?

A handover on the day the order is placed, where a standard carrier delivers the next day (D+1). In the Charleroi district, we collect your goods and hand them over within the day, at a time when the delivery address can be reached.

What is the latest I can order for a shop in the Ville-Basse?

The handover has to take place before 10am, when the bollards go up. An order that cannot arrive in time is delivered the next morning, before 10am: we tell you as soon as you book, before you confirm, not while the vehicle is on the road.

Can an address with no bollards be delivered in the afternoon?

Yes, it is delivered at the time your customer takes deliveries. The bollards close the pedestrian streets and some shared-space zones in the centre; at booking, we check whether the address lies in one of those streets and, if it does, from what time the vehicle can get in. On a round, the addresses behind bollards come first, and those in the rest of the district afterwards.

My goods leave Brussels in the morning: will they reach the Ville-Basse before 10am?

That depends on the loading time and the journey, which we calculate at booking. If the handover cannot take place before 10am, when the bollards go up, you know before you confirm and it moves to the next morning. An address outside the streets closed by bollards, pedestrian streets and some shared-space zones, still gets its delivery the same day. The vehicle we send is allowed into the Brussels LEZ, with no pass.

Who follows the delivery through to handover?

Our team, from 6am to 10pm, seven days a week. If a recipient is out or a street is blocked, they take over and keep you informed; you do not have to chase the driver.
